Walk Across Canada In A Day

In 1998, John Davidson crossed Canada 33 km at a time for a total of 8300 km to raise $2M for Jesse's Journey. There is now an annual 'Compass Walk' fundraiser that replicates John's 33 km stints for all to participate in.
Captain Tory's Team first participated in the event in 2006...and we plan on being there every year !
Everyone gives it their all...walking as long as they are physically able...until their muscles ache.
Our boys can't do the walk without a cure...the more we give, the closer we get to seeing the day when we can join hands with them in celebrating the victory!!

“Walk Across Canada in a Day”

We have some exciting new changes to announce – the walk moves to a Sunday – and launches an ENTIRE MONTH of fundraising activities for Jesse’s Journey!!

The Walk Across Canada in a Day will now kick off Defeat Duchenne Month, a month of fundraising for Jesse’s Journey.

The walk is set for Sunday, May 4 in London’s Springbank Park. Walkers collect pledges and can do all or part of a scenic 33 kilometre route – or do the 5 kilometre route instead. (The reason for the 33 K route is because that is the distance that John Davidson walked each day when he walked across Canada – total distance of 8,272 kilometres!)
